Privacy notice

Last updated: 22 October 2026

This notice explains how Ares Experience Systems (“Ares”, “we”, “us”) handles personal information collected through this website. We aim to collect only what we need, use it only for the purpose it was given, and keep it secure.

What we collect

Enquiry and quote forms. Our forms help you write an enquiry: your name and a description of your project, plus anything else you choose to add (business name, email address, current website, type of project, indicative budget and timeline). Please don’t include sensitive personal information; it isn’t needed for a business enquiry.

When you press “Send via WhatsApp”, your browser opens WhatsApp with your enquiry written out as a message. If you choose “Send by email instead”, your own email app opens with the enquiry addressed to us. This website does not send your details to our servers or store them. Your enquiry only reaches us if you press send in WhatsApp or your email app.

Project brief (onboarding page). Our “Start your project” page asks for more detail: your contact details, what your business does, what you’d like built, features, content you already have, budget and timeline. While you fill it in, your answers are saved in your own browser so you don’t lose them; they’re removed from your browser when you send the brief. When you send it, the brief is passed to us as described below.

WhatsApp, phone and email. If you message, call or email us directly, we receive whatever you send through that service. WhatsApp messages are handled by WhatsApp (Meta) under its own terms and privacy policy.

Technical information. Our hosting provider processes standard technical data, such as IP addresses and request logs, to deliver pages and keep the service secure. Fonts are served from this website itself, so loading a page doesn’t contact Google or other font services. The site keeps one small note in your browser’s session storage so its opening animation plays only once per visit; it contains no personal information.

This website does not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies.

How we use it

  • To respond to your enquiry and discuss your project.
  • To prepare proposals or quotations you have asked for.
  • To keep a record of our correspondence with you.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for unrelated marketing without your consent.

Services involved

  • WhatsApp (Meta), which carries enquiries and conversations you send us there.
  • Vercel, which hosts this website.
  • Google, which provides our Gmail inbox, if you email us.

These providers may process data outside Kenya.

How long we keep it

Enquiries are kept in our WhatsApp chats (and our email inbox, if you email us). If an enquiry doesn’t lead to a project, we delete it within 12 months of our last contact. If it does, we keep project correspondence and records for the length of the project and five years afterwards, because Kenyan tax law requires businesses to keep records for five years. You can ask us to delete your enquiry sooner.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, including under Kenya’s Data Protection Act, 2019, you may have the right to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, to object to or restrict its use, and to complain to the relevant data protection authority. To make a request, contact us using the details on our contact page.

Security

This website is served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, but no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure.
